Welcome! My name is Nina Brazzel and I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Coyote Ridge Elementary. I am beyond excited to kick off my sixth year of teaching! Before CRE, I attended the University of North Texas and in the Spring of 2015 received a Bachelors' degree in Early Childhood Education and a specialization in English as a Second Language.
My mission is to not only teach but empower my 21st-century students to develop a love for learning so they may thrive in our ever-changing world. I strive to provide meaningful lessons in a safe and welcoming learning environment that all students love coming to. In my classroom, my students will engage in reading, writing, science, math, social studies, music, art, engineering, and social-emotional development through communication, collaboration, use of technology, problem-solving, sharing and (most importantly) play.
Elementary education is without a doubt my life passion as I have always enjoyed working with and being around kids. When I am not in my classroom I enjoy spending time with my husband, dog, friends, and family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and watching movies at home. My Finnish heritage has influenced who I am today and it gives me great pleasure to embrace my culture and learn about new ones! My favorite colors is light blue. And when it comes to teaching supplies and decor, I love to shop at Target and Michaels!
To start the year off, I would love to hear the hopes and goals you may have for your student. I love communicating with the parents of my students, and if there is ever anything you need, please feel free to contact me via email or the Seesaw Family app.
